The 2012 Line Sir Francis Bacon ski has been completely re-designed by Eric for a level of quickness & versatility previously considered impossible in this width, yet with enough float to be worthy of Pollard’s name. Its new break through lower Early Rise™ tip geometry PLANES INSTEAD OF PLOWS in the pow, while the length of Early Taper™ has actually been reduced vs. past years to put much more Active Edge™ length in contact with the snow for MORE GRIP & LESS SLIP. The Bacon’s new smooth reliable flex pattern feels like an extension of your feet, literally carving on a dime as well as it can float in the powder. This is the next level of Pollard approved fun, for everywhere on the mountain.

Core and Flex Pattern:Aspen Macroblock™ Core is made from the widest and highest quality Aspen laminates for long lasting camber and energy that is more forgiving. This 100% tip to tail wood core is the lightest, most durable in the universe. // Symmetric Flex has the same ski flex in front and behind your boot for the same feel riding forward or backwards.
Construction:4D Fibercap™ construction consists of fiberglass layered in 4 directions around the core for a high strength to weight ratio throughout and an ultra lively, responsive, and sensitive feel. // Extruded Fatty Base & Edge is easy to repair.
Shape:Early Rise™ Tip & Tail: the Line Skis Sir Francis Bacon Shorty Skis have 20cm x 6mm rise that starts earlier so the tips rise effortlessly out of powder and stay on top without needing to sit back. // Early Taper™ Tip & Tail: the widest point of the sidecut starts tapering earlier in the tip and tail to reduce hooking in powder and tail drag. // G-Cut™ Geometry is a 5-radius sidecut with the tightest radius in the tail for powerful, predictable exits and less unwanted tip hooking.
